Editorial Policy
Our rules for accuracy, sourcing, updates, corrections, independence, AI assistance, and future product testing.
Accuracy and sourcing
Material compatibility and safety statements should be traceable to a current standard, manufacturer document, or other authoritative source. We distinguish facts from editorial judgment and state important uncertainty instead of filling gaps with assumptions.
No fabricated experience
PickScoreLab will not describe a product as purchased, tested, measured, or used unless that activity occurred and the article explains the method. Research-led guides are labeled as such. We do not manufacture quotes, customer ratings, review counts, benchmark results, or awards.
Commerce and editorial independence
Affiliate eligibility, commission rate, retailer relationship, free samples, or commercial contact must not determine a conclusion. If a future article contains affiliate links, it must remain useful when those links are removed. Paid placement will not be presented as an independent editorial recommendation.
AI-assisted production
Software may assist with outlining, editing, consistency checks, or code. Responsibility remains with the PickScoreLab Editorial Team. Claims, calculations, source links, and publication metadata must be reviewed before publishing. Automation is not a substitute for evidence.
Updates and corrections
We correct factual errors promptly and revise guidance when standards or common product designs change. Minor typography edits do not trigger a new update date. Substantive corrections should be reflected in the article and its last-updated field.
